***An Instant New York Times Bestseller***

From the woman who is credited for launching what we know as the celebrity focused, “brand” driven, social media obsessed popular culture of today, comes an honest and surprising celebrity memoir that reckons with that truth, and shows that there is so much more to Paris Hilton than you might believe. This extended edition includes a bonus chapter detailing her motherhood journey.

I was born in New York City on February 17, 1981, three days after Valentine’s Day.

From the time I was a toddler, my brain skipped and flickered with the chemical imbalance of ADHD. Sometimes it was too much.

I’m not bragging or complaining about it, just telling you: This is my brain. It has a lot to do with how this whole book thing is going to play out, because I love run-on sentences—and dashes. And sentence fragments. I’m probably going to jump around a lot while I tell the story.

I came of age during the most turbulent pop culture period ever.

The character I played—part Lucy, part Marilyn—was my steel-plated armor.

People loved her. Or they loved to hate her, which was just as marketable. I leaned into that character, my ticket to financial freedom and a safe place to hide. I made sure I never had a quiet moment to figure out who I was without her. I was afraid of that moment because I didn’t know what I’d find.

I wrote this book in an effort to understand my place in a watershed moment: the technology renaissance, the age of influencers. I also wrote this book so that the world could know who I am today. I focused on key aspects of my life that led to what I am most proud of—how my power was taken away from me and how I took it back, how I built a thriving business, a marriage and a family.

There are so many young women who need to hear this survival story. I don’t want them to learn from my mistakes; I want them to stop hating themselves for their own mistakes. I want them to laugh and cry and embrace every aspect of who they are with fearlessness and pride. We all have our own brand of intelligence, and, girl, f**k fitting in.
A Raw and Honest Memoir: Go behind the “part Lucy, part Marilyn” persona she created and discover the real story of how her power was taken away—and how she fought to take it back. The Original Influencer: Learn how Paris leveraged her unique brand to build a thriving business and shape the social media obsessed pop culture we live in today.A Survivor’s Story: In this unflinching account, Paris shares the truth about her time in the troubled teen industry, transforming her trauma into a powerful mission to protect others. The Truth About ADHD: Discover how a brain that “skipped and flickered” became her greatest asset—a Ferrari with bicycle brakes that fueled her creativity and drive.

Proud In Tennessee ,

Thank You - I finally feel understood…

I found this book not only be one of the most excellent memoirs I have ever read, not to mention literally the easiest book for me to read, considering I also have pretty severe ADHD. My brain in this book, are soulmates, no other way to put it. I have developed a profound respect for Paris Hilton, even though I never disrespected her, I do remember the years she was going through so many unbelievable things that no one ever knew. Regardless of that, she is a brilliant woman, and astounding, businesswoman, an activist that I am incredibly proud of, as someone who also is a huge advocate for children. (insert former professional dancer, choreographer, and studio owner here). There are so many things in this book that I relate to, things that happened to me in my childhood and teenage, the majority of it simply because my ADHD was undiagnosed and no one understood me. It was easier to call me a problem. This story is beautifully told by Paris, and the fact she has taken her pain and turned it into something so profound, it really makes me remarkably prodigal. We are both Aquarians, and we share many of the same traits, and in some aspects were raised very much the same way. Not only did. I relate to this book because it was so well written, you felt like you were having a conversation with a good friend. At times I wanted to throw my iPad as far as I could, and then smash it into a million pieces. The heinous things that were done to this young woman, there is no excuse, no will there ever be. The time she went after those places, and as she said, “shine her BrightSpotlight on them”, and brought the attention that was needed to take down these abusive institutions. And she she’s married with two children…??!! and, runs a multi billion dollar business/brand?! All I can say is, mad respect! This woman is not only brave as hell, she is brilliant in ways that we will never understand, and she is a a genuinely beautiful force. This book is worth every minute of your time, and every penny you will pay. It’s very reasonably priced, and I have to say that it was so good I finished the book in less than 48 hours.
Literally. Phenomenal!
Kudos times a million to Paris, and her entire team, her husband, and her precious children. I’m sure this was not an easy book for her parents to read, if they even read it. I don’t say that out of meanness, I say that out of respect in the fact that this may not be information they need to know at this point in their life. Paris has told her truth. And I for one believe it wholeheartedly, 1000% if this role runs for president, she has my vote.
WELL DONE, PARIS HILTON!!! I am proud of you.

A different view

Like many others, I judged based on what I saw portrayed in the media. This memoir was very well written and just goes to show that we are quick to judge without knowing the back story. Thank you Paris for being so honest and vulnerable in this book.
