Publisher Description
This 32-page educational photo essay allows readers to visit Parker Pastures, a sustainable farm in Colorado. Through eye-catching photos, the book follows Cloe as she introduces readers to the farm's chickens, ducks, cattle, goats, and sheep that provide a diversity of food and dairy products. A great introduction to sustainable agriculture, the book shows how multi-species grazing can result in healthy animals, ecosystems, families and communities.

The Whole Package
This book has it all: beautiful pictures with great narration that teaches a profound lesson about how farms can be run the self-sustainable, responsible way. Great birthday/Christmas/anytime gift--as are all Cat's books. I recommend it, too, for city children who have never seen a real chicken or cow in "person" on a real farm. Just a heads up, reading teachers! The narration is perfect for gifted/talented elementary kids--think Common Core. Actually, I can see it working for any reading level with the right lesson plan. Librarians--don't pass this up, and while you're at it, check out her other books. Great little book!
