Stunning

Although this book was written in 1929, it feels modern and timely (perhaps timeless). The premise is fascinating. The only question is who, if anyone, is likable in this book--who does the reader root for? The ending (which I won't spoil) felt so rushed and like it wasn't quite wrapped up as neatly as I'd have liked, but this is still an incredible book. Some great insights in this novel. Unsure what to think about the protagonist's husband (and again, whether to like him or not). Beautifully written and greatly insightful. Worth a read.

Terrible Book

This book was atrocious. It would have been okay if it had some greater meaning but the book was absurdly boring. I gave it 2 stars because at least it was written in legible English.

Issues

The story itself was fine enough but there are a ton of punctuation and spelling issues. A problem with the scan perhaps? Whatever the reason, it made it pretty hard to read, especially when it came to character names. Bianca, Blanca, same person.
