Vivian Miene works for the FBI. She was sent to protect and get close to Eric Black. Eric is a key witness against a leader in a drug cartel. Vivian’s problem is that she has fallen in love with Eric. She is afraid she will lose him because of all the lies she has told. Even her identity is a lie. Vivian wants to tell him the truth. She hopes he can forgive her. Eric fakes his death to protect Vivian. He comes back when she is in danger to rescue her. He is still in love with her. He wants to be with Vivian. Can Vivian forgive him? Vivian still loves Eric but can she trust him? Can she let him back into her life? Will they get a second chance at love? You can feel the love and tension between the two of them. This was a quick and enjoyable read. It is a fast paced story. I am looking forward to reading more books in this series.
