Susannah Granger, now into her third Season with no betrothal in sight, is becoming resigned to the idea of spinsterhood. But a chance meeting with a dashing highwayman on the way to Longley Manor and a passionate kiss makes her think twice.
Christopher Edward Longley, the fifth Earl of Longley, has been immersed in bringing order and profit back to his family's estate. He has no time for women and the haute ton. unacceptable, fundamental flaw!!
There should be a prerequisite of knowing British nobility ranks -- AND HOW TO ADDRESS THEM PROPERLY -- before one is allowed to write a novel utilizing them.
I have no idea what this book is about, for I could not make myself read any further than chapter five . . . for the very simple reason that an earl is NOT REFERRED TO AS "HIS GRACE". Ever. ONLY a duke is "your (or his) grace"; an earl is simply "my lord". And this error was not made only one time, which could have been dismissed as a simple proofreading/editing error, no; this was a repeated atrocity. So I refused to read any more AND will be deleting this book from my ereader.
Truly a disgrace, and the author should be ashamed to have "published" this!!
