Path of Dirty Soles

Life can be summed up into two experiences; happy experiences, or, hurtful experiences. In our Christian experience, we are told that Christ is the cure to all life’s ills. He is the way out of all our problems, and, in Him exists the quick and easy way to gain all of our personal desires. However well-intended these messages may be; how do they compare to the message of Christ calling Christians to a “cross-bearing lifestyle?” How does the message of “living out your best life” compare to a life called to endure hardship, various trials, and tests?
