Pedaling the Perimeter

In the spring of 2007, I came up with the idea to bicycle across the country.  My then boyfriend, not wanting to figure out the logistics of shipping the bikes back, suggested that we ride around the perimeter of the US instead.  Ten months later, we were off and riding on an epic honeymoon bike tour.   We propelled ourselves down one coast, up another coast, over mountains, through forests, across deserts.  In the rain, with the scorching sun overhead, with the wind and against the wind, we pedaled.  This book chronicles the 11,165 mile adventure, from planning to completion, and includes dozens of pictures, along with our daily ride summaries, as we traversed the nation and experienced the best and worst of small town USA and the whims of Mother Nature.
