Publisher Description

The revelatory memoir by former "poster girl for Scientology" Michelle LeClair about her defection from the Church, her newly accepted sexual identity, and the lengths to which Scientology went to silence it.

For years, Michelle LeClair, former President of Scientology's international humanitarian organization, tried to reconcile her sexual orientation with the anti-gay ideology of the church. Michelle finally ends her horrific marriage, finds the love of her life, a woman, and ultimately leaves the Church. But the split comes at a terrible price. Her once pristine reputation is publicly dragged through the mud, the police raid her home, her ex-husband tries to gain full custody of their children, and the multi-million dollar business she built from scratch is utterly destroyed.

In this tell-all memoir, Michelle offers an insider's perspective on Scientology's pervasive influence, secret rituals, and ruthless practices for keeping members in line. It's a story of self-acceptance, of finding the strength and courage to stand up for your emotional freedom, and of love prevailing.

At times, Devastating while Darkly Intriguing!

As deep and sometimes dark, and depressing, this book offered a view of a cult existence that can only be described as frightening, better yet, terrifying.
Thank you, Michelle, for your bravery and candor.

Lies lies lies

My friend sent me page 174 because myself and my husband are named. This absolutely never happened. I never met her girlfriend. I heard from a friend she looked exactly like George Bush but who am I to judge. Also, I am a spiritual being who has no sexual preference, male or female, Love is Love. I’m happy if she’s happy because unconditional Love is what is most important but from the sounds of this book it’s unconditional hate and being a victim to make a couple bucks to pay her attorney fees that kept her out of jail. Google her real name Michelle Seward. She stole millions from the elderly. They are the real victims. She has big contacts and turned state evidence on her partner so she wouldn’t have to go to jail. A real criminal who lies. Read this book if you want to support a criminal and read fiction. We have so many gay friends that her words are just absolutely preposterous.
