Publisher Description
Petrified Minds, Robert Brenner's cornerstone book of his Glenn Rice Cozy, Suspense Mystery Series, chronicles hypnosis therapy sessions relating to three patients—one battles IBS, the other, asthma and personal assault, and the third fears flying and travel. Brenner digs deeply into their petrified, subconscious minds, allowing readers to delve with him into the root causes of his patients’ emotional responses. Never knowing what to expect, each hypnosis session is different as Brenner searches to understand experiences from his patients’ pasts—experiences preventing them from blossoming into the people they’re meant to be.
Written in a delightful, cozy mystery style, Petrified Minds couples non-fiction with fiction—the situations, therapy, and results are real. Each patient suffers from a petrified mind, or mental paralysis inhibiting living normal lives—each knowing they couldn’t continue without help. Without change. Without courage. But . . . hypnosis? Really? Not something they previously considered. Each, however, decided on self-help by contacting world-renown hypnotist, Robert Brenner.
It was a decision that would change their lives.
Customer Reviews
Informative, Yet in Cozy Style!
A friend gave me Brenner’s book last Spring and, by the title, I knew I had to read it—I was right! Written in an engaging, cozy style, Brenner somehow managed to weave story lines in with actual hypnosis cases, keeping me interested all the way through. I just found out this is the foundation book for his new cozy suspense mystery series . . . I don’t know the title, but I’m keeping my eyes peeled! In the meantime, Petrified Minds is a must read!
