Highly insightful and elaborately written Mr Bagehot does an exceptional job in perfectly illustrating the slow, rough and subsequently rewarding journey of progression of nations from their humble beginnings to their zenith as highly developed states. It is a must read for any leader in both the developing and developed world as it reminds all of the pitfalls which must be avoided as well as the rapid decline which can occur when communities do not adhere to certain necessities of a progressive society.
