For Cavalry Sergeant Ed Blaine, wounded by an Apache lance, the way station offered a chance to recover. All he wanted was a place to rest. But it was not to be.
First he met up with the girl he had once been about to marry. And then he found himself under the guns of a bunch of outlaws waiting to free their brother from an incoming stage, men who had a past score to settle with Blaine.
Just when Blaine figured it couldn't get any worse, Butler's Station was hit by a band of warring Apaches. He had Apaches in front and outlaws with guns at his back. And they all wanted him dead.
