Publisher Description
What happens when an assassin has a nervous breakdown?
After the owner of a security company is murdered, his sharp-edged wife goes on the run. Forced to abandon everything she holds dear—her home, her friends, her job in special ops—she builds a new life for herself in the English countryside, hoping to bury the past beneath hedgerows and horse manure. As Ashlyn Hale, she meets Luke, a disarmingly decent local who makes her realise just how lonely she is.
But ghosts don’t stay buried, and neither do enemies.
Even in the sleepy village of Lower Foxford, danger comes knocking. Something dark is at play. Forced out of hiding, Diamond faces a race against time to save those she’s come to care about.
The clock is ticking. Her cover is blown.
And this time, running isn’t an option.
Pitch Black is a slow-burn romantic thriller full of questionable morals, dark humour, and enough vigilante justice to keep things interesting. Featuring a morally grey heroine who solves her problems with force instead of therapy, a strong-willed horse, and a hero who’s too good for this mess. Enjoy the ride!

Into the Black
I really enjoyed this quirky, suspense story. Ash/Emmy was a well-developed character whose deep grief from the death of her husband could be identified with by anyone who has ever experienced personal loss in their life. Her story shows a glimpse of the possibilities of life and growth after loss.
Loved it!!!
The book was so thrilling I couldn’t put it down. I started dying of laughter because of the jokes in it. Definitely recommend.
Pitch Black is a whirlwind of...
Mystery. Fast paced, enticing you to keep reading. Leading you further and further into their lives, now entwined, to become as an outsider watching them through the window, up close and personal. You can’t not finish it.
