Morgan Faulkner is a young historian used to living life through the pages of old books and the stories her father has told her.  Her specialty, as was her father's, is early British centuries, the times and legends of the Arthurian sagas.

Following in her father's footsteps, Morgan has vowed to find the missing link in the Arthurian sagas that her father had always sought, which makes her ripe for the seemingly spontaneous meeting with John MacQuarrie, an attractive tour guide who could possibly soften the intense loneliness she feels. . . if she'd let him.

 But she hears whispers on the wind as she stands on the cliffs. . . Or does she?

Those whispers compel her to dig deep inside herself for ways to get on with the research.

Or maybe those whispers hint of something else? Something to come?
