Plato On Music, Soul and Body

Music, an important feature of ancient Greek culture, was often discussed in philosophical works. Plato, in particular, analyses the way in which music affects human behaviour. His analyses offer us a new perspective from which to study the relationship between soul, body and music in his philosophy.
