Stand-alone Valentine Bay romance, complete with HEA--and plenty of heat and heart along the way!
Troy Valentine gave up everything when his parents died, leaving his career as a pro baseball player to come home to Valentine Bay and raise his little sister, Mila. It’d been so long since he put himself first or thought about what he wanted, it was hard to even remember what that felt like.
Broadway star Alison Bartholomew needed a break from her high-pressure theater career and all the scrutiny and judgement that went with it. When she meets Troy on the first morning of her Valentine Bay getaway, she starts to wonder: could a short sabbatical turn into something more lasting?
Troy and Alison can't help but be drawn to each other, but is the force binding them together stronger than the one pulling them in different directions?

A must read!!!
This is, by far, my favorite Valentine Bay read yet!! It sucked me in from the start, and kept me there with the chemistry between Troy and Alison, the banter between Troy and Mika, and the whole Valentine Bay crew. There was very little drama in this read, just an overall, feel good read I would definitely recommend!!
Broadway star find magnetic chemistry with small town baseball star!
Woot! Woot! The last Valentine brother, Troy, finds his sole mate. Alison is on a vacation from her real life as a Broadway Star. She doesn’t expect to fall in love with the town. She is expecting to be disappointed in its lack of shopping and food choices. When Alison and Troy meet they know nothing about each other and discover their magnetic chemistry, easily they get along, and how much fun they have hanging out. Once they learn more about each other, they become more impressed with each other’s accomplishments.Alison and Troy have strong feelings about each other that have developed quickly. It’s hard for both of them to believe they are falling in love that quickly. Finding their balance in the relationship as well as their careers has a few bumps to endure, but they each make the effort. Coffee cups and lasagna now have a new meaning! Thanks Melanie Shawn for another wonderful visit to Valentine Bay!
I have been waiting for Troys story since the beginning of the series. Troy gave up his pro baseball career to go home and raise his sister after their parents untimely death. Alison is in Valentine's Bay to get out of the hustle of New York and Broadway. Alison rents a house by the cliff and the first morning is woken up by construction being done next door and meets Troy who is renovating the property next door. Sparks immediately fly between the two. This is a sweet quick read that I really enjoyed.
