Publisher Description
Cassandra Steel and Commander Stone are a unique pair. Together, they comprise the first human/Kindred detective team on the Tampa PD. Their caseload is pretty normal until a heinous new crime is committed--a woman is murdered and it appears that the culprit is a Kindred.
Knowing that a Kindred warrior would never hurt a female, Cassie and Stone start following the trail of the murderer. But it leads them all the way to Bachanalius, a planet devoted entirely to the production of all kinds of alien adult entertainment.
Undercover as "actors," can Cassie and Stone keep their partnership intact? Will making naughty vids together bring them closer together...or drive them apart entirely? And what about the murderer they are stalking? Will they catch him before he kills again?
You'll have to read Playing Their Parts to find out.

Superb read
Intergalactic romance with a twist ! An absorbing and entertaining read. Sizzling enough to warm you up and keep you that way. I’d recommend this book to anyone over 18 years of age.

A body is a body.
I have read all of the Kindred Tales and Brides of Kindred. I enjoy the world building, adventure, and Kindred lovers. Anderson’s characters are diverse, but she writes her plus females in a way that is not very body positive. This book even implies only aliens would be attracted to a plus body. It leaves me wondering; A few extra curves or are they a few extra hundred pounds? Even someone on a smaller scale has body insecurities from time to time, but the curvy characters in these series make that its own character trait. My suggestion: let the females be curvy or plus without turning that into their entire personality. Not to mention Kat, the jolly one…In the future, I’ll probably be skipping these plus tales all together. Wish I could read about all women embracing their sexuality.
Ready for a plot twist
When the newest version of CSI is a Kindred and his human female partner, you just know the story is going to be amazing. I love the characters! The author really did a fantastic job with the way they interacted to each other and the situations they found themselves in. And what a situation it was. I enjoyed how they slipped into the undercover role they had to play, and the action, danger, and anticipation made this a ride I didn’t want to get off of. This book was another wonderful addition to the Kindred series and I am looking forward to seeing what the author comes up with next.
