DS Jan Pearce has become the go-to for missing persons cases—even though she has yet to find her son who disappeared. So when an abandoned toddler in a stroller is found in an alleyway, Jan is put in charge. She doesn't yet know that the little girl's mother, Lisa, is being manipulated by a criminal gang.
