Publisher Description
The poems in this collection address a number of everyday experiences. “Listen” speak to the need we all have to slow down and savor the moment. “I-74” speaks to the common experiences we all share. In “YIN” Charlie writes about the kind of woman he might be if he were a woman, an interesting challenge for an adamant heterosexual poet, but YIN raises the question for the reader, if you were the other gender, what might you be like. “The EX” looks at the question anyone with an ex always asks “what in the world did I ever see in that person?” The collection closes with a brief contemplative poem from the Cold Mountain 2000 series, modeled on the poems of the Chinese poet Han Shan who wrote sometime around 1,300 years ago.
