See AllAs good as his print books
D.B. Johnson has enhanced his already stunning children's illustrations with animation. Mother Nature Rhymes shows off the potential of iBooks--a must-have for anyone looking to test out a new retina display!
Beyond the visuals, D.B. Johnson's rhymes are as catchy as anything Mother Goose wrote. I also appreciate that he doesn't lean on pop-culture references like most modern children's cartoons. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Mother Nature Rhymes to anyone with kids (or adults who appreciate whimsy).
Delightful!
Our whole family have been huge fans of D.B. Johnson since Henry Hikes to Fitchburg and this newest offering does not disappoint. The artwork is beautiful. The rhymes are fun. And the animated features add a wonderful new dimension. Loved it.

Actually, you not only read this book, but experience it through exquisitely animated illustrations.
This is a book to linger over and revisit.
The animation takes a few moments to begin so you have time to start reading the poem it illustrates.
What a pleasure to have an animated piece for children that does not bombard them with images and noise, but allows them time to anticipate, experience and enjoy.
A very special book.
