Models. Flight Attendants. Strippers. And Day Traders. The year is 1987, and the Brookside Village pool is a hot place to be, even for lovelorn freelance art director Phoebe Jones, who doesn’t really fit in with this upwardly mobile crowd. That is until Roberta, a private investigator and part-time stripper, shows up at her door asking for help with one of her investigations. Against her better judgement, Phoebe decides to help Roberta. And aside from the murder and mayhem that ensue, it changes Phoebe’s life for the better . . . in ways she never would’ve imagined. For starters, she finds love and career success just when she thought all was lost.
