Popper Op. 23 no. 2

The Gavotte n° 2 op. 23 by David Popper (1843—1913), original for cello and piano, is one of the first great pieces employing the thumb position that young cellist meet in their path.

This arrangement for cello and string orchestra by Swiss master Susan Ribicki-Varga allows students to perform this marvellous piece with the string orchestra of their school.
