Porky's Sugarbush

In preparation for visiting Porky’s Sugarbush out on Lake Independence, this approach to sugarbush using math, science, and Ojibwe should help to enhance the field trip experience. There are lots of photos as well as explanations of the sugaring and syruping process as well as age-appropriate math problems to help students see that Mother Nature follows the rules of math. Videos and other interactive pages make the event come more alive. When students return from sugarbush, they can continue to learn about it here.
