The dangers of being a cop
What happens when one action turns your life upside down? Brandon is a police officer in Maine and on a routine patrol he confronts the subject of a police chase and kills him in self defense. His life is turned into a circus. Press and social media crucifying him, supposedly grieving parents out for his job, his moneys down his life. And the rather interesting secondary plot of the consequences of trying to do a good deed. He has found an old diary and while on leave after the shooting tries to return it to just be doing something. Crazy crazy things happen not the least of which is his kidnapping. There is so much going on here but it all works together. A great read and good beginning to the series.
