Post Traumatic - A Black Physician's Journey Through PTSD

Many people were surprised when this
highly successful doctor's life seem to unravel
after being attacked by a patient. The shame,
embarrassment and arm chair diagnoses given
to him by those around him were difficult to
bear. In reality he had come to believe that he
was finally "safe" and had "arrived" only to
experience death threats, stalking and physical
attacks that resurrected earlier traumas from
their quiescence.
"It no longer bothers me that others didn't
understand or accept my illness, but if I were
to heal I needed to be honest with myself and
help others who may be struggling with Post
