Postnatal

Postnatal is a poetry chapbook exploring womanhood as a condition of inheritance. Moving through motherhood, pregnancy, migration, intimacy, aging, and the complicated geographies of China and elsewhere, these poems examine what women inherit from one another. Blending bodily imagery with ecological and surreal landscapes, Postnatal asks what it means to be born from women, to become one, and to carry generations of love, violence, and longing within the body.
