Publisher Description

Pot Doc details Dr. Michael Geci's journey through the murky world of medical marijuana during the infancy of Montana's marijuana boom in 2009 and its improbable and bizarre implosion just a few years later. Join Dr. Geci as he develops a relationship with the most remarkable and misunderstood plant on the planet--witnessing many of its wonderful attributes and cringing at some of the darker energies associated with the plant.

Pot Doc draws clear distinctions between medical marijuana and recreational pot, highlighting the fascinating science surrounding the Cannabis plant, along its medical applications and contraindications.

Pot Doc questions the United States' absurd and antiquated policies toward marijuana and its cousin, hemp, and advocates for patients' rights to use natural medicine without the fear of legal reprisal.

An Enlightening Read

I met Dr. Geci in the small, rural, Eastern Kentucky emergency room he mentions in his book while I was getting stitches taken out after an unexpected encounter with a chainsaw.

His book is as engaging as he is. We chatted long beyond the usual doctor-patient allotment; he was down-to-earth, friendly, and extremely interesting.

If you’re thinking about this book because you’d like to learn more about your favorite pastime, you’ll probably enjoy it, but it may not be what you expect. This is about a journey taken by a dedicated, compassionate physician with rock-solid integrity, a few highly competent friends, and a strong bias toward cannabis as a viable and valuable medical option. He was a pioneer for the advocacy of lab analysis to add legitimacy, rigor, and standards to the medical end of the cannabinoid spectrum.

I can't say he doesn’t derive some occasional enjoyment from the mind-altering end of the equation, but his passion lies in the hippocratic oath and the medicinal qualities of cannabis. If you’ve ever purchased CBD in any form, you probably have Dr. Geci to thank as much or more than any other individual. Pot Doc is a fascinating read that includes history, science, medicine, humanity, law and politics. He writes with a smooth, easy style that will pull you into his world. You’ll root for him.

And, by the way, he's a great ER doctor.

But Doctor Geci certainly called my ToWanda from deep within. People... this subject is coming to a conversation near you! For your own sakes.. PAY ATTENTION! All street weed is contaminated. Learn how to avoid poisoning yourself by seeking a 3rd party lab test on that product you’re about to ingest.
