Dual POV, enemies to lovers, virgin h, death/murder (historical) bisexual H,
Gabriel’s parents died in a fire years ago. Elise’s dad orchestrated the fire to get insurance money for a failing property. Now Gabriel is back and wants to join “the consortium”, the group his parents belonging to before he believes they decided to kill them. Elise feels guilty for Gabriel’s parents’ deaths and left her wealthy family as penance. Now, Gabriel is using Elise to help get close to the people he believes are responsible for his parents’ death.
Overall this was an enjoyable read. The pace can be a little slow at times but the story was interesting. I felt like Elise was a little too naïve for someone who grew up with such a ruthless father but if she hadn’t been, the story wouldn’t have been able to work the way it did.
Warning
So I read book #1 believing this will be a m/f romance. But be advised, book #2 has sharing with the hero, the. hero’s ex-male lover and heroine. And also it’s not necessarily consensual as well. This author needs to be more upfront with her readers. She has a pattern that has emerged and it’s not endearing her to some readers. I have requested a refund as this is not what I signed up for.

Thank you Epar reader for your warning. I’m only into reading MF romances. Not bisexual or gay relationships so I am glad to see your review, I read the 1st series of books written by this author with NetWorth, Hostile takeover and Binding Contract. They were very good. I hate to see her turn to the Male sharing his relationship with new girl and old flame guy. Not interested in this. Thank you for the warning. She should put warnings because not everyone enjoys that kind of thing.
