Practice Makes Perfect: Complete Spanish Grammar, Premium Fourth edition
I have never been so disappointed in a purchase or in a book as I am with this. I have been looking for a Spanish Grammar book that will help me understand the oddities and idiosyncrasies of the Spanish language . I am a beginning learner who does not readily accept that “you use an article here but not there because that’s the way it is.” I want to understand why so I can answer exercises consistently and with confidence. This book held so much promise. The index indicated that this was a serious yet not “over-my-head”spanish grammar book and that it addressed the topics of most concern to me. It may be all I hoped, but the publication is flawed by having its examples in the tiniest of fonts. Enlarging the font size does not solve this because my page becomes 5 words long and I still need a magnifying glass to read the examples. It is frustrating beyond belief. I have looked for a fix but I have seen nothing to indicate anyone else has had this problem much less how to solve it.
