It’s Christmas time, and firefighter Joe Russo is ready to pop the question to his long-time girlfriend, Dr. Savannah Alonso. He picks out the ring and gets gussied up to meet her at their favorite Italian restaurant. But when Savannah gets called away for a hospital emergency, his plans are foiled. Before Joe is able to stage another proposal, he and Savannah have a falling out: He witnesses her holding hands with another man, and she refuses to stick around to explain herself. Forced to work the holiday toy drive with Savannah, the two are thrown together. Through a series of miscommunications and stubbornness, the fissure between them continues to grow. Yet there’s no denying it—Joe loves this woman.

Will he let his obstinacy and traditional values get in the way of marrying the woman he loves?

Dr. Savannah Alonso dedicates her life as a physician to helping people in need so when an old friend comes to her for help after a fatal car accident that took the life of his wife and put his daughter in the ICU, she makes Joe take a back seat. When he sees the two holding hands in the hospital cafeteria, he takes it the wrong way and thinks she’s dating someone else. This puts her relationship with Joe on the cusp of a break-up. Despite her stubbornness, she attempts to make amends, but her romantic gesture only leads to more anger and hurt feelings.

She knows she must bend in order to make things work, but is she willing to forgive Joe’s shortcomings in exchange for true love and make this a Christmas and New Years to remember?
