First in a planned series, Leavitt's debut novel has an entertaining premise that would be right at home as a TV movie for tweens. Though the stakes never feel high and Desi's ultimate triumph is a foregone conclusion, Desi shows that she's a heroine with heart. Ages 11 up.

Luv this book
I luv this book! Desi is such a great character! She is funny, sweet, and energetic! I luv the main idea of the book! It is very unique and charming! If you loved the first book you will luv the second book too! It has the the same characters like Desi, Kaylee, Meredith, Reed, Celeste, Gracie, mom, dad,the facade agents, and even more princesses! Now back to this book! The author is so unique in this book with the bubbles, facade, subs, mp, and crazy princess encounters! If you don't know what I just said means, read the book and find out! You will also love the characters and love the books! These books are hard to put down! Hopefully the author writes more books in the series because I have fallen in luv with these books!

In Princess for Hire, Desi is a teen filled with insecurities and a need to feel accepted. This is a fun story about finding your inner strengths and accepting yourself.
