Beauty and the Beast retold
Astrid’s story and a retelling of Beauty and the Beast.
Astrid is a daughter of a merchant and much to her surprise has been offered a spot at Grimm Academy. Since she has a prophecy about her she is excited to go to the school famous for students avoiding them. She also is thrilled to be going to such a fine academy where she can get a top notch education. Unfortunately her parents only agree because they want her to find a wealthy noble to marry so they can have wealth and a title. Astrid sees a way around this when the Bellpoint competition is announced. The winner becomes heir to a kingdom if she wins she can court whoever she wants ie the sweet and handsome farmer’s son she’s been spending time with and they’ll be nothing her parents can do. But tick tock the countdown on her and Conan’s prophecies has started. Will they be able to figure out how to avoid their fates or will evil magic overcome them?
Super fun read! Lots of action packed into a smaller package. Curses, wicked sisters, overbearing self centered parents, faries and so much more. A fantastic read!!

This is the fifteenth book in the Grimm Academy series. This was a quick read. The story starts out slow but picks up. This story is a new fresh twist on the Beauty and the Beast story. There are a few elements that are taken from the original fairytale. This series does not need to be read in order. I look forward to reading the stories about her friends Elise and Cordelia. cute story
I have to admit that I didn’t recognize the fairy tale while reading it, but in hindsight I can recognize the elements that make this a beauty and the beast story. Although it is a very loose retelling, I did thoroughly enjoy reading it, just as much as I’ve enjoyed other books in the series.
