Customer Reviews
Good guide for scootering
Overall, good reference for riding safely. Covers good riding safety tips that should be reviewed repeatedly regardless of experience. Clearly written.
I do wish he had covered the maxi-scoots as well as these are gaining in popularity.
The one area not covered are techniques needed because scoots have an automatic transmission and no clutch. Motorcyclists use the clutch particularly to keep control with slow speed maneuvers, e.g., U-turns. Scooterists need to add rear brake while keeping RPMs up to control speed while keeping power to the rear wheel. No power to rear wheel when in slow speed turns can easily result in kissing the pavement.
