Project 33 (2015) Ebook

Water, Woodland, Mountains

Publisher Description

Each year I undertake a photography project to help guide my adventures, travels and image making. Each project number is marked by my age and so during 2015 I undertook Project 33.

Originally my aim was to cover three areas of the UK in more detail; Yorkshire, Wales and more locally Herts & Bucks. However, as the year progressed and different opportunities arose it became clear that the project was taking it's own route and it was more about embracing three types of location; Water, Woodland & Mountains.

Having the great freedom of this being a personal endeavour I happily accepted this natural change of course and embraced the new spirit of the project. Trips to Italy, the Lake District, Wales, Yorkshire and many local sojourns allowed me to explore all manner of locations, many of which are celebrated here in the eBook.

The eBook is 70+ pages long and includes all the images from the Project 33 portfolio. I also share all the technical details from each image including the exposure time, aperture size, date, time and location.

This year I've also 'de-constructed' 5 images in more detail. Here I look at the scenario of the day, location and all the compositional and exposure related concerns, decisions and queries that I considered at the time of shooting and after the fact. Hopefully readers will find this asks as many questions as it answers
