A wonderful classic love story.
The story follows Charlie (Charlotte) who is having to deal with the recent passing of her twin brother Cameron. She is sent to California by her overbearing controlling mother to pack up her brother’s belongings and bring them back to Tennessee.
Charlie is a reserved, and naïve girl in the beginning, you watch her blossom and grow into her own person through the course of the story.
Jhett is described as a tattooed musician who likes to cook. He is not your typical bad boy rocker. He is sweet, loving and an all-around great guy. He was Cameron’s best friend and new quite a lot about Charlie before ever meeting her.
Wanting to learn more about her brother’s life in California leads Charlie to meet Jhett simply by accident. Her world is forever changed by this chance meeting. Jhett persuades Charlie to stay for the summer.
This book does have some drama, and ends on a cliff hanger. I can’t wait to read the novella companion to this story.
I would recommend this book to anyone who likes a sweet love story without all the graphic sex.
