Love it
This is another amazing book. I enjoyed the trust that they’ve build and the connection. Their connection was amazing and the development of the story was well written. Another great book from this amazing author.
Will her walls force her to run from love?
Promise to Marry You is the fourth book in the Donnellys of Dogwood Cove series, but could be read as a stand alone. Cam and Beckett have been best friends forever, but when Cam’s grandfather passes away and requires her to marry before she gains her inheritance, Beckett immediately asks for a marriage of convenience. He’s always harbored a love for Cam, but will this be their chance for more, or will her walls force her to run?
Oh my, this was really good! I felt all the feels, and couldn’t help but cheer for this couple to preserve and stand by one another to find love and acceptance! Cam and Beckett had a foundation that was completely solid - to the point of fear of ruining their friendship. And when they changed their dynamic, there was fear and passion, joy and hesitance all at the same time. Cam had gone through so much in her life that closed off her heart from feeling more out of any relationship, so it was lovely to watch her slowly open up to Beckett, his family, and the town. Beckett was a dirty-talking cinnamon roll of a dominant hero and phew, he was fun and sweet and I loved his love. Their passion was fantastic, but I think my favorite part about them as a couple was how they built each other up. I had not read any of the previous books in this series before, but I never felt lost - I just want to read all of the amazing stories that I’ve missed so far! I enjoyed reading this book and look forward to more!
Another fabulous Dogwood Cove couple
