Forbidden romance with spice!
This is another fantastic story in the author’s 𝙰𝙶𝙴𝙳 𝙻𝙸𝙺𝙴 𝙵𝙸𝙽𝙴 𝚆𝙸𝙽𝙴 𝚂𝙴𝚁𝙸𝙴𝚂, they can be read as standalone’s, but I recommend reading them in order, I recommend them all highly and enjoy the four female’s friendship dynamics since the first book.
Emma is in her early 40’s and going back to college in Italy after her divorce. She also definitely wants some good s€x as well. She’s a really relatable and likable character who is inspiring, she’s going after her dreams and realizing her worth.
Santo and Emma met briefly and had an awkward almost hook- up. Later they discover he’s one of her Professors…. and they now live one apartment away from each other. Forbidden romance at its best.
I love that the two get to know each other both in the academic setting and privately. Their chemistry is palpable and builds steadily.
When they throw caution to the wind and hook-up it gets delightfully spicy! This is the steamiest book I’ve read by this author and it fit Emma’s story perfectly.
I love their journey together, the story is quite full despite being a shorter book.
I love the maturity, the feeling of starting fresh after 40 and of course, Emma’s three besties make many appearances. They are hilarious, supportive and I’m wondering if I can manifest them into real life, they are amazing women and friends.
Also, it’s set in Italy, it doesn’t get much better than that. I love the story and characters, I can’t wait for the next book, yet I’m sad it’s the last girlfriend’s story. I highly recommend this book and series.
