Publisher Description

Your curse is your biggest strength.

I just didn't know it yet.

Let the games begin…

When Jamie Hunt left his cushy life in California to become a supernatural fugitive, he thought he was running away from his problems. The last thing he wanted was to go barreling straight towards them. But as always, life has other plans.

The pressure is mounting as both sides prepare for the inevitable fight. New alliances are struck as old enemies come to light. New relationships are strained as old bonds are tested. A surprise attack leaves the friends reeling, but nothing is every quite as it seems.

Can the friends gather their forces in time? Will Jamie finally uncover the secrets in his past? Most importantly, when the final moment comes, will he have the strength to pull the trigger?

The tides are always changing. There's only one way to find out.

Never give up. Never give in.

Series is great, ending worse than Stephen king

Rushed ending. SPOILER: no fight scenes between multiple people with gifts, despite 2/3 of the main villains having gifts… father redemption arc falls flat as soon as he kills Henry and the author cops out by having him kill Jake (good move) but then kills himself… also weird move to have the author say that Alexander Hunt has the power of speed, but he never uses it… would have made more sense to give him strength, since we never learn who gave Jamie that power…

Epilogue could have been an amazing 3-way fight scene with redemption for the father, but the author cops out by instead using it to rapidly tie up most of the loose ends and then has the villains kill themselves…

The ending is a HUGE letdown, but the rest of the series is great and had me on the edge.

Disappointing

Jamie is the most useless powerful character I’ve read about. He has all these powers but he can barely use them the entire time. It was so frustrating reading about him. Hes supposed to be an athlete and smart but he acts like a teenage girl trapped in a guys body. I almost stopped reading because of that cause who want to read a series where the main character is weak and girly. If the author had made him become more confident and powerful I would have forgiven the rest but up until the end he acts the same. He has many powers but his uncle is able to hold him and his dad has to save him? Pathetic
