Protest!: Photographs of Social Justice in the 21st Century demonstrates the extraordinary power of photographs to drive social and political change. This collection of all-color images and its diaristic essay, includes photographs of Pride Parades on the streets of New York to street art on the side of a bus in Brick Lane, London; from spray paint on a warehouse wall in Las Vegas to fair-housing protest on the steps of City Hall in San Francisco’s and the plight of Syrian refuges in front of Hôtel de Ville in Paris.



Steven F. Dansky has been an activist, writer, and photographer for more than 50 years. He was on the cusp of the modern LGBTQ movement after the Stonewall Rebellion as a member of the legendary Gay Liberation Front (GLF) and was a cofounder of the group the Effeminists that continues to generate controversy into another millennium.
