Publisher Description

I just returned from the Mortgage Bankers Association's (MBA's) Annual Convention in San Diego. This year the convention was exceptionally interesting. It was common to have long conversations at this meeting with my peers about where things are headed. This year, however, there was so little consensus and so many attendees who seemed to be wandering around somewhat aimlessly. It's easy to understand, given what we've been through the last three years. Still, it's eerie to me to have so many seem so uncertain about where we are headed and questioning what the future will look like. I was fortunate to meet with some of the brightest minds in the industry. What follows is an amalgamation of my thoughts, derived from the observations of many. In short, it's my best look inside the crystal ball.
