Pursuant Gable Farm

The road to Gable Farm disappears long before civilization does, but for Pursuant Inspectors Marion Kenway and Zia Kose, the isolated countryside property is exactly where the job begins. For three weeks, an elderly couple has reported terrifying nocturnal occurrences, mutilated fencing, panicked cattle, unnerving animal cries, and a shadowy presence watching their farmhouse from the treeline. Dismissed by the local sheriff as senile paranoia or routine coyote strikes, the emergency calls trigger a red flag within the covert Pursuant network.

Arriving under federal cover credentials, Kenway, a seasoned former CIA/Army operative with a dry, sarcastic wit, and his sharp, highly capable partner Zia quickly realize the farm is a hotbed of Meta activity. As darkness falls over the quiet fields, their tactical perimeter watch turns into a high-stakes battle for survival.

They face pack-hunting Carbunkles acting as swift nocturnal scouts, followed by a deadly confrontation with a Level One Meta Skinwalker, a lethal shapeshifter capable of contorting between beast and humanoid forms in seconds. Armed with spring-loaded non-ballistic rod weapons and tactical expertise, Kenway and Zia must neutralize the supernatural threat, protect the farm's owners, and execute cover protocols to keep the truth hidden from local law enforcement.

Yet the true danger lies beneath the earth. Investigating the source of the creature infestation leads them to a collapsed silo and a hidden, ancient subterranean portal, a discovery that marks the beginning of an ongoing, high-stakes arc for the Pursuant team. Blending gritty urban fantasy action, classic mystery beats, and sharp PG-13 romantic tension between its lead Inspectors, Pursuant: Gable Farm delivers a complete, standalone thrill ride into the hidden world.
