Wes and Samuel are partners in all things. For the past two centuries, they have ridden earthquakes as Storm Riders. These cowboys run a dude ranch and can’t think of a more perfect life until Adina appears to them.

Adina, looking for acceptance, has come to them hoping for an open position among the Riders. Trouble follows her, no matter how much she tries to hide.
