Born in 1370 BC, Queen Nefertiti, Great Royal Wife of King Akhenaten, held many titles—Lady of Grace, Great King's Wife, his beloved—His beloved. And yet. He took other wives. Still, she was first. But there was no love between husband and wife. Marriage was about power. Marriage was about alliances—there was no time for love.
