“I like a challenge." So says Marie Arroway as she finds herself on yet another adventure with Neil Webb in the next Race Through Space novel. We catch up with a now grown Marie, who has found herself in quite a harrowing situation, Through a series of flashbacks we watch a young Neil and Marie, as well as the adults around them, use the knowledge they have gained from their newly acquired rune to try and save the Earth. But, will the knowledge of yesterday help save Marie and her crew from hurtling into a black hole today? Event Horizon is a wonderful trip through time and space for any science lover. Young or old, if you love science or just love a good adventure story, then this is the book for you. Mr. Hawk has brought to life well rounded characters that have you pulling for them the whole way. I will definitely use passages of this book with my early elementary class as we study character development and I recommend it for any child 4th grade and up! Great Job, Mr. Hawk!
