RAG for HR

RAG for HR is an independent work of research and reflection on how human systems behave when intelligent machines enter the workplace.
Rather than treating Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) as a technical implementation pattern, this book examines it as a design problem: one that sits at the intersection of trust, meaning, explainability, and organizational behavior. The focus is not on tools or vendors, but on how HR systems can remain humane, legible, and accountable as AI becomes embedded in everyday decision-making.
Drawing on long engagement with enterprise HR systems, organizational design, and applied AI, the book offers a systems-level framework for designing AI that supports human judgment rather than replacing it. It explores questions such as: What does explainability actually mean in a human context? How does trust erode or accumulate inside socio-technical systems? And how should HR leaders think about responsibility when decisions are partially delegated to machines?
This is not a consulting manual, a product announcement, or a prescription for rapid adoption. It is an invitation to think carefully, and at times slowly, about a fast-moving moment.
