Ramblings of a Teenage Pensioner

Alan has been writing stories of life, people, travel and ‘happenings’ for several years and after befriending a famous author in Antigua, got motivated (with help from a bottle of Rum) and compiled the stories into a book.


There are many crazy tales of growing up in Weymouth, Wyke Regis and Portland, on the south west coast of England, as well as travelling great distances to places such as the next village down the road and even farther. As he got older and his jobs took him around the world, he added those stories too.


Stories of growing up in a South Coast British seaside town in the 50s and with teenage memories of the fun times of the 60s and 70s, this is a great read of hilarious situations, wonderful people, amazing places and of course with age, some tragic events told with the authors typical emotions (it’s his Irish side).

The stories take you way past Weymouth horizons and into strange and exciting places.
