Publisher Description
Meet your new favorite food critics: a chubby wolf named Mita Jiro and a ripped tiger named Yanagi Kagetora. Kagetora used to eat to live, but that changed when he met Jiro--who lives to eat! Jiro is more than happy to help his striped friend explore the restaurants and delicacies tucked within their city, and he enjoys all their finds with great relish. There's nothing better than a hot meal to bring two (animal) people together in this deliciously illustrated story.

A fun read
The story is really well put together and the characters are very animated, the drawing style is also very pleasant. Definitely worth the money.
A combination of rough and cute like the main characters themselves
Cute characters eating food like they’ve been fasting for weeks is only the start of this series which delves into the daily lives of its two main characters. You have one overweight wolf giddy and energetic while on the flip side you have a sulky Tiger dealing with feelings of isolation, aimlessness, and envy for his older sibling. Clearly the bulk of the narrative story is going to be about Kagetora aka Curry Tiger. The plot itself is fairly surface level even for a “food manga” with the character going about their Normal lives eating food and being lovable goofs. Furry slice of life with a hint of existential dread about trying to adult in a world where animals and humans live and work side by side. I say that but the world building doesn’t do anything grand with the premise besides being modern day Japan but there are anthropomorphic animals. If you’ve ever watched Bojack Horseman then you get the picture. The characters are the heart and soul of the story with silly if not out of place actions and dialogue like the occasional dance. The art and scene work is rough but this story was never going to be a masterpiece and the readers are picking this up for one reason and that is to see a larger muscular Tiger and fat wolf eat food. There is also that stuff I mentioned about Kagetora but we’ll have to see how that unfolds going forward.
