This was a slow start for me. Couldn’t get past the language, names and technology. I think the barrier was my not reading the first book. Kashatok and Joy were interesting characters, but I believe the surrounding cast pulled me in and kept me there. I’m glad I held on. It is a very interesting story. Lots of action. The intimacy was maybe at 70%, and well placed. Well written adventure. Looking forward to the next book.
