Reading for the Sheer Joy of It a Fabulous Start for a New Year (Mountain Views‪)‬

OLEAN -- Those who know and love me understand that a safe bet for a Christmas present is a book about any one of a bunch of subjects I can't get enough of: American History (especially the American Revolution and Civil War), animal behavior, Middle Ages, medieval mysticism, and on and on. This Yuletide I received some beauties. My style is to read two or three of them at once. A chapter from one book one afternoon, two chapters from another before falling asleep, a couple of pages from a third when I get up next morning.
