When we look around at the world today, we see innumerable problems, crises and contradictions that provoke many to feel utterly hopeless. Everywhere people have experienced the pain, the challenges, the aggressive opposition of ideas, ideologies, religions, creeds, movements, and expressions.

This direct experience can come to anyone under a variety of circumstances. It is also possible, through the practices that have become known as Yoga, to directly participate and aid the slow evolutionary process of Nature.
