Publisher Description

There is an ongoing narrative that has often been taken as truth in the Body of Christ: “Black people will follow a White pastor but White people will never follow a Black pastor.” This book acknowledges the history from which this narrative came while looking to push a new narrative where the whole Body of Christ can benefit from the gift of Black leadership. Many books have asked, "How do we see diversity in the pews?" But this book looks to see diversity in the pulpits and leadership rooms of these churches.

A timely book that’s a must read

Ready To Lead is a timely book that speaks to the crux of some of the barriers faced by people of color when attempting to lead in multicultural settings. The books message transcends the walls of the the church and is applicable to the world of business as well. As an African American working in the corporate sector I found the books message extremely encouraging as I navigate the complexities of the corporate world while seeking to glorify god. Thank you Pastor Brian and Pastor Chris for this gift.
